I plant seeds of expectations in my mind. My mind is the breeding ground to cultivate and protect the seeds I grow and nurture with water. I initiate a spurt of success and anticipate the results to become achievements. I believe in myself as being capable of handling the pressures that will become. Will I overcome the obstacles and weaknesses that will grow? I’ll just keep planting until something inside blooms.

Qualia is term used in philosophy to refer to individual instances of someones subjective, conscious experience. In other words, the way things seem to us.
The cover art is about a girl surrounded by her memories. Her experiences and thoughts are coming out when she closes her eyes. It’s a representation of her feelings and her imagination exploding out of her.

During my trip to Tokyo I got a chance to photograph Rob Orme known as Submerse. We shot this picture in Sangubashi. In a building which we later found out we both stayed at before. Room 402.

“Invisible Threads” by The Black Arrow.
This is a collaboration piece with model Wylona Hayashi. The idea for this was inspired by The Red String of Fate also known as The Red String of Destiny, an invisible red thread connecting those who are destined to meet.
“This belief originated from Chinese legend and is also used in Japanese legend. According to this myth, the gods tie a red cord around the ankles of those that are to meet one another in a certain situation or help each other in a certain way. In Japanese culture, it is thought to be tied around the little finger. In the Chinese legend, the deity in charge of “The Red Thread” is believed to be Yuè Xià Lǎo 月下老, the old lunar matchmaker god who is also in charge of marriages.
The two people connected by the red thread are destined lovers, regardless of time, place, or circumstances. This magical cord may stretch or tangle, but never break. This myth is similar to the Western concept of soul mates or a destined flame.”
The idea of people being connected together for a reason intrigues my outlook on everything. Whether it be Lovers, friends, or strangers. What if you’re supposed to meet certain people to become who you are? Or is the journey unwritten?
